Our modern practice includes everything you need in one place: private consult rooms, kids toy areas, an on-site pharmacy, X-ray department, LANCET pathology lab, and on-site nurse for vaccinations and baby wellness.

General Practioner
Dr Claire Castelyn
Dr. Claire Castelyn is a compassionate family GP at Premier Health Centre since 2017, offering holistic, patient-focused care for the whole family. With a strong emphasis on empathy, communication, and understanding individual needs, she has a special interest in paediatrics and holds additional qualifications in paediatrics and allergies. She recently completed her Master’s in Family Medicine through the University of Buckingham (UK), graduating with distinction.
Her services include preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and minor procedures. With additional experience in surgical support and rehabilitation care, Dr. Castelyn brings a well-rounded approach to health.

Dr Micayla Mohunlal
Dr. Micayla Mohunlal is a General Practitioner at Premier GP, working alongside Dr. Castelyn to offer comprehensive, patient-focused care. With an MBBCH from Wits and postgraduate diplomas in HIV Management and Primary Emergency Care, she brings a wide range of expertise and a compassionate, holistic approach to healthcare.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Mohunlal enjoys learning new skills and spending time outdoors with her dachshund. Her passion for community well-being and dedication to her patients reflect in the care she provides every day.
General Practioner
Dr Tamyan Joseph
Dr Tamyan Joseph has joined the Premier GP team.
Dr Tam brings over 14 years of medical experience, caring for both adults and children. She completed her medical degree at UCT and holds a Diploma in Emergency Medicine (DipPEC). Her work across a wide range of clinical environments—including her time working on the ships, where she and Dr Castelyn were colleagues—has given her extensive emergency medicine experience and a strong, adaptable clinical skill set.
She also has a solid background in paediatrics, having worked at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, and is known for being a friendly, approachable, and exceptionally capable doctor who provides compassionate, thorough care.
Dr Tam will be assisting with additional cover in the practice, ensuring seamless continuity of care for all our patients.

Shaye Rae
Senior Sister Shaye at Premier Health Centre plays a vital role in extending the range of services offered to patients. Working closely with Dr. Castelyn, Sister Shaye ensures a comprehensive approach to healthcare. Her expertise covers a wide range of services:
